Meet Timothy

Timothy Fields has spent the past 22 years working in various areas of higher education, primarily in enrollment management at Emory University where he currently serves as an Associate Dean in Undergraduate Admission. In this role, he serves as a member of the leadership team for the recruitment, evaluation, and construction of the freshman class for Emory University. In addition to his work in enrollment management, he has also worked in student affairs, residential life, athletics, and with several Federal TRiO programs at two-year, state flagship, and private institutions.

Timothy earned a BA in Psychology from Morehouse College, MEd from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and has completed all doctoral work at Georgia State University. His academic interests include HBCUs, post-secondary access of under-represented populations, and supporting Black male initiatives.

Timothy is a proud Texan, product of the 70’s, father of very opinionated twins, and husband trying to keep his wife happy. When not working, he’s a well-dressed traveling and drinking connoisseur, enjoying cocktails and listening to good music anywhere he can.
