Book Reviews

Lessons I Learned from Drinking is a divine little book of life lessons. Written in very down-to-earth language, it is easy for any adult to follow, though its messages are deeply philosophical and engaging. The author uses social drinking (or drinking alone) as a metaphor for life, as he faces the world, choosing friends, traveling, and making life-altering decisions, often over a glass of wine. While some of the book offers advice on the best products and places to drink, most of it uses Mr. Fields' personal experience to expound on choices, both good and bad, that have made him the successful man he is today. From "It's Okay to Walk Away" to "Time vs. Money," he invites the reader to have a drink with him, share some knowledge, and perhaps refill his glass as he reads on for more sage advice. We just finished it!! So much fun! We talked out loud about every question and all learned something new about each other we didn’t know! Thanks so much for giving us a great bonding experience and some good laughs too! FJ- Educator

When I picked up this  book about drinking and life lessons, I didn’t know what to think. I was immediately intrigued and once I began reading the book, I could not put it down. I read the entire book in one night. What I loved most about the book was the authors ability to offer true life lessons with a twist of comedy and open self disclosure. If you desire a laugh out loud comical and excellent read about life and personal development, please purchase this book. You will not regret it. NS - Therapist

I would like to say that I may not be an expert on spirits (despite having more than my fair share of them), I am fairly well versed in life itself. Which is why I feel competently qualified to say Timothy Fields' book, "Lessons I Learned from Drinking" is a quick, fun, and thoroughly entertaining outlook on life's principles. It takes the reader down the road less traveled as well as the ones densely populated, all while maintaining the author's humorous and well-rounded outlook on life. "Lessons I Learned from Drinking" is also unique in a sense that it encourages moments of reflection and introspection, not just by content, but by actually asking the reader questions at the end of each chapter.

I highly recommend this short sweet book for your library, or better yet your coffee table.  BP - FB Post
